New Product Release. The "LED' Fairlead Is An Industry First From Cascadia 4x4!

Cascadia 4x4 is extremely proud to announce the release of the LED Hawse Fairlead! We have been working tirelessely on this innovative piece of off-road technology through months of research and development including extensive field testing. The LED Hawse Fairlead is the world's first and only example of a hawse fairlead to feature an integrated LED light. This is the ultimate combination of a hyper-durable, well designed winch fairlead coupled with a powerful and multi-functional LED light.

We chose to design the product around the Hella^® MST-6 mini LED lighthead due to its 24 flash patterns (including steady-on mode), strong weather and vibration resistance, and high light output from 6 LEDs. The light also has an incredibly low profile (6.6mm depth) which makes it the perfect candidate for integration into our product as it can sit completely flush with the front surface of the fairlead. This is an important consideration so that the light doesn't, under any circumstances, interfere with the movement of the winch line or hook. 

The light can be used as auxiliary lighting in steady-on mode to illuminate the winching area/road ahead, or as an emergency light in flash-mode. In order to provide the customer with a complete package we have included a universal DIY wiring kit with flash controller and a colour illustrated wiring diagram to take the guess-work out when it comes time to install the product on a vehicle. A toggle switch mounted in the vehicle cab turns the light on and off, and a push-button switch allows the user to choose between flash patterns. The Hella^® MST-6 features non-volatile memory which recalls the last pattern used at power up. 

 As with the standard Cascadia 4x4 Hawse Fairlead the production method chosen for the LED Hawse Fairlead was CNC machining from a solid block of 6061 aluminum and then finishing with type-III hard anodizing to MIL-A-8625F specifications. The dual logos are then laser-etched into the surface. The light comes pre-fastened to the fairlead assembly with stainless steel socket cap screws. 

 The LED Hawse Fairlead is compatible with standard sized vehicles winches (10" C-C mounting holes) running synthetic winch line. It's also a great complement to any of the Cascadia 4x4 "Flipster" winch license plate mounting systems.  Click here to learn more.
